FILMMAKING Documentary feature films exploring new narratives: New York Spin, an early practice on transmedia filmed in New York, and You Are Mythical, a more recent film produced by Crossing Stages European arts project. VISUAL THEATER Work as director and video designer for visual theater including The Days Before DDDIII by Robert Wilson in New York, Flying Fish Over Mexico Butoh dance in Mexico City; and Tilmun Teatro in Madrid. PROJECTS Multicultural and interdisciplinary projects directly connected with technology are Transmedia Workshop by Philip Baldwin from Stony Brook University, New York; in Chile; and projects by Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico: Myths MX interdisciplinary arts event at national museum, and The Barbaric Country site with digital media for Innovation Week. AI has turned into a major force as technology is changing the nature of creative process. AI art refers to artwork including procedural 'rule-based' generation of images using mathematical patterns, and algorithms that simulate digital effects.

Pedro Valiente was selected through an international open call to develop the new program BA (Hons) Contemporary Media Practice at Arts University Plymouth, UK. “AUP is an independent university-sector art school run by artists and designers for artists and designers, widely regarded as a dynamic catalyst for creative learning and social justice.” —AUP
